You Can’t Start Perfect
Done poorly is the first step.
Done poorly is the first step.
When speaking saying nothing is better than saying:
“So, um, yeah”
“But”
“Literally”
“you know”
“OK”

No one is an expert at all things.
Don’t expect actors to know politics, doctors to know how to invest, and those in sales to know how to code.
You’ll run into problems if you pretend to know all things or follow someone who pretends to know all things.
Beware!
What is stopping you?
Rarely is it that you are prohibited from doing what you should and need to do.
Most of the time it’s YOU that is preventing you from moving forward.
Instead of being PROhibited you are INhibited.
Let yourself do it. MAKE yourself do it.
The wise know that you cannot control what happens to you.
You only control your reaction to what happens.
You can freak out or you can choose to look at the good that can come out of your situation.
Choose your reaction well.
To get better at ______,
do more ______
I started with a list that was handwritten on paper and a photo posted on Reddit, added some stuff, sorted, formatted and came up with this.
I made a mistake when I started a job.
I thought that my co-workers were all smarter than me.
Yeah, they knew more about what they were doing.
But what I was asked to do was different.
They knew their stuff, I knew my stuff.
I’m just a different kind of smart than they are.
So are you.
You are your own kind of smart.

The important thing is to try.
Your trying leads to something. That something is usually bad, but with practice turns into something good and with more practice becomes great.
Don’t expect the first draft to be perfect. It never is.
To get better at anything. Do more of that thing.
Try > Bad > Good > Great
