Nothing is Better

When speaking saying nothing is better than saying:
“So, um, yeah”
“But”
“Literally”
“you know”
“OK”
Any swear word

An Expert In All Things

No one is an expert at all things.
Don’t expect actors to know politics, doctors to know how to invest, and those in sales to know how to code.
You’ll run into problems if you pretend to know all things or follow someone who pretends to know all things.
Beware!

Your Reaction

The wise know that you cannot control what happens to you.
You only control your reaction to what happens.
You can freak out or you can choose to look at the good that can come out of your situation.
Choose your reaction well.

One Cannot Know All

We are stronger when we join and share.
One cannot know all.
Many will know much more.

The Song That You Don’t Want in Your Head

The problem that too many people have is that they have a song in their heads that will never go away.
It goes like this:
“Me, Me. Meeee!”
We are here for others, not ourselves.
Think about others, do for others, and the world will improve.

Are You Not Handicapped and Pushing Those Buttons?

I’m peeved about people who use the button to automatically open the door for handicapped people. People who are obviously NOT handicapped.
One day that button is going to break and a handicapped person will be stuck outside the building waiting for someone to open the door for them.
If you can open the door yourself, do it!

I Used to Think. Now I Really Think

I used to think that anything that was written down was true. In a newspaper, magazine article or book. I believed it all.

Now I question what an ‘instant expert’ writes. I’ve found errors, used my own knowledge to disprove what I’ve read, and have thought about what was left out to find the truth in an article.

It is too easy today to find a worldwide audience for whatever you want to write.

It is the reader’s job to ponder over what they read and if it fits with what they know is truth. And sometimes apply the topic to other areas of their knowledge.

It takes more thinking to do this.
And your life is more enriched.
