Don’t Buy from These Guys

Bought a fuser from SuppliesGuys.com with the promise that I could return it if it didn’t work.

It didn’t work.

I called SuppliesGuys for an RMA number. They said one would be emailed to me within 48 hours.
72 hours later no RMA.

Called SuppliesGuys to see what was up with my RMA number.
Long story shortwinded – can’t return that fuser after it is opened.
SuppliesGuys does not stand by their word.
I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew that!

SuppliesGuys isn’t getting any more of my money!

Twitter is the new shortwinded!

It’s A Beautiful Day

And why not?

Dell Printers Stink

I know that Xerox makes the Dell 5110cn printer.

I found the Xerox Phaser 6360dn that looks nearly identical to the Dell 5110cn.
I bought a Xerox Phaser 6360dn fuser that I thought would work in the Dell 5110cn.

Received the replacement fuser. It looks identical to the Dell fuser.
Put the fuser in the printer. It fits!

Turn the printer on. Get a messsage “CRUM ID 093-964″ “Reseat Fuser”

Found out that there is a CRUMmy chip in the fuser that the Dell printer looks for to make sure that the part you bought is from Dell. The printer will not work with the Xerox Fuser – only with the Dell fuser that has a CRUM chip in it.

Now what? Should I do surgery to see if I can put the CRUM chip in?

Dell won’t take my money, Pt 2

I tried to buy a replacement fuser for my Dell 5110cn printer.

It wasn’t listed on Dell’s website, so I called. Oh, they have fusers in stock, but they won’t sell me one.
I need to have a service contract with them to buy a fuser for this printer!?!?

1) Doesn’t Dell want my money?
2) Doesn’t Dell need my money??
3) Doesn’t Dell know they are not going to get any more of my money?
… I used to purchase Dell laptops and desktops. Why should I buy any more if they treat me this way?

Dell is in trouble.

Dell won’t take my money, Pt 1

I tried to buy a new laptop from Dell earlier this year.

I waited 3 weeks for it to be built and sent to me. After 3 weeks Dell informed me that they didn’t want to make my laptop.
I said “OK, I’ll buy a Lenovo” and I did.
